Bringing Trixie home was one of the best decisions I could have made in my life. Yes, there were many times in her first 2 years that I contemplated throwing her out the window. Yes, my designer shoe and magazine collection suffered some casualties at the beginning. And yes, my video game controllers were never the same again, but look at that face…. Not only is her fur as soft as silk, she was born with the perfect eyeliner.
Looking at this little angel, you would think, how is it possible to get a bad photo of her? Well let me show you Trixie in her natural state.
The amount of shade I get from this dog is unbelievable. She is most definitely not impressed by me or any of my antics. So it’s a little embarrassing when I’m at a dinner party and we’re all sharing dog photos and all I have to show is Trixie either total “emo”, staring out of the window, or she’s giving one of her classic, you’ve got to be kidding me, expressions. And when it comes to a dog photo comparison, you always want to win cutest mutt of them all. Our dogs are our babies, and you can say all you want that it’s not a competition, but you and I both know it totally is.
I’m just happy that I finally took the time to give Trixie the glamour photoshoot she deserves. The casual iphone photo is fine for instagram, but I want a beautiful photo of my little fur baby that I will forever hold close to my heart. A dog’s life is short but their impact on us lasts a life time. Never take for granted what beautiful gifts these animals are. Plus these images are going to make an awesome gifts. With Mother’s day coming up and you know my mom is getting prints of her grand-dog, Trixie, this year.
